Maize can be regarded as an important grain crop under irrigation, as it produces very high yields. It can produce from 35 to 55 tons/ha green material and 6 to 8 tons/ha of dry material within a relatively short period (135 to 155 days). It is therefore one of the most efficient grain crops in terms of water utilization. Maize is usually produced under Dry Land conditions, with full irrigation higher yields can be obtained. Successful maize production depends on the correct application of production inputs that will sustain the environment as well as agricultural production. We follow several best cultivation processes for the production of best quality maize.
