The egg production phase in breeder farms generally takes place from around 25 weeks of age through to 64 weeks of age. Egg production gradually decreases from 64th week onwards. Once the egg production is completely down for any particular flock, birds are sold out for processing plants where the birds are slaughtered into different products and sold further. Adding value to the cut products gives a good edge to the products.
